Monday Essentials: Christmas Closures, Free Computer Instruction and More

SK Housing Authority: At 5 p.m. on Monday, the South Kingstown Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet at the Authority Office, located at 364 Curtis Corner Rd., Wakefield. Click here to view the evening's agenda.

Christmas Closures: Still have some last minute errands to run? Click here for a list of Narragansett and South Kingstown businesses and offices in town and their holiday hours for Tuesday Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Microsoft Word Instruction in Narragansett: From 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 26, the Narragansett Public Library (35 Kingstown Road, Narragansett) will offer a free Microsoft Word class for those who would like to learn how to use the popular word processing program. In this class, participants will learn how to do basic formatting, how to copy and paste, how to insert images, how to check your document for spelling and grammar errors, and how to save and print. Note: Familiarity with using a keyboard and mouse is necessary. For more information, call the Library at 401-789-9507.

Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: This and every Friday night at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated.
