Myrtle Rostrup, 87: Avid SK Volunteer, Former URI Employee
A life-long South Kingstown resident, Myrtle Rostrup donate thousands of hours of her time to South Kingstown Hospital and other town organizations.

Myrtle Rostrup, 87, a life-long South Kingstown resident, died on Monday, June 3, at her home.
Born in Peace Dale, Rostrup was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Grant) Bonner.

Rostrup retired from the University of Rhode Island after many years of service. She was the past president of the Rhode Island Senior Organization, a member of the Narragansett Bay Quilters and was active at The Center in South Kingstown. One of her greatest achievements was volunteering over 1,000 hours of her time to South County Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
