Narragansett Police Log: August 1 and 2, 2012
Police make a warrant arrest, and cite a woman for a suspended license.

Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant
Paul Joseph Webb, 43, of 51 Tern Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 1. Police said a Superior Court bench warrant was issued on July 24 for Webb’s arrest on Cranston police felony charges of obtaining more than $500 under false pretenses.

According to police, an officer spotted Webb in the passenger seat of a silver Dodge Stratus and knew there was a warrant out for his arrest. A check with dispatch confirmed the warrant, and a traffic stop was made on Boston Neck Road near Mountview Road.
Police said Webb was arrested without incident. He was transported to the ACI at about 7:40 p.m. The driver of the car was warned for a crack in the window.

Narragansett Woman Cited for Suspended License
Marcie A. Knight, 21, of 35 Angell Road, Narragansett, was cited at about 11:24 a.m. on Aug. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license.
According to police, they responded to a minor motor vehicle accident near the Shell Gas Station on Point Judith Road. A background check of the involved drivers revealed that Knight’s license was suspended.
Police said Knight’s license was suspended on July 4 after she failed to appear at a court hearing. She was cited for this violation, and also for driving with an expired registration.
