Narragansett Police Log: July 13, 2012
Police break-up a loud party on Aroostook, and charge two with suspended license violations.

Pawtucket Woman Arrested for Suspended License
Kristen L. Holobowicz, 31, of 126 Oneida St., Pawtucket, was arrested at about 2:22 a.m. on July 13 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer traveling on Ocean Road near the Coast Guard House behind a blue Hyundai Sonata ran a check on the car’s plates. Police said the registration for the car was suspened, and as a result, a traffic stop was made on Kingstown Road near Boon Street.
Police said a background check of the driver – Holobowicz – revealed that her license had been suspended on June 20 and July 9. As a result, she was arrested. She was also cited for the expiration of her car’s registration.

Holobowicz was processed and then released at about 3:10 a.m.
Warwick Man Cited for Suspended License
Daniel P. Moreland, 19, of 154 Hilltop Drive, Warwick, was cited at about 12:32 a.m. on July 13 and charged with driving with a suspended license.
According to police, an officer traveling on Point Judith Road near Foddering Farm Road behind a blue Volkswagen sedan noted that its brake lights weren’t functioning. A traffic stop was made near Seaport Communications.
Police said a background check revealed that Moreland’s license was suspended. He was cited for the violation. A passenger in the car didn’t have a license, but a third person was called to the scene and allowed to drive the car away.
Warwick Man Arrested on Warrant
Scott F. Verrecchia, 27, of 156 Pierce Ave., Warwick, was arrested at about 12:39 p.m. on July 13. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing.
According to police, an officer familiar with Verrecchia from past arrests saw him walking on Winterberry Road and thought he had a warrant out for his arrest. The officer confirmed the warrant and arrested Verrecchia without incident.
He was transported to Fourth Division District Court for processing at 2 p.m.
Second Time Not A Charm – Party Broken Up on Aroostook Trail
At about 12:10 a.m. on July 13, police received a report of a loud party at 20 Aroostook Trail.
According to police, about 45 to 55 people were at the home, with 15 cars illegally parked on Aroostook Trail and Allagash Trail. Police said the cars were parked so narrowly that emergency vehicles would not have been able to respond.
Police noted that while there was nobody seen drinking at the residence, there was alcohol there, and both of the renters present were under 21.
Police said that the renters – Rachel E. Bloom, 20, and Sarah B. Barton, 18 – both refused to sign the nuisance form. After a review of the incident by the community policing division, a sticker was issued at about 8 a.m. on July 13.
The house was involved in . On July 5, police arrested three people who said they were trying to find a family member at a party there. However, there wasn’t a loud party report or noise complaint made at the time.
Party Broken Up on Lincoln Way
At about 12:14 a.m. on July 13, police received a report of a loud party at 48 Lincoln Way.
According to police, about 40 to 50 people were at the home, with five cars parked illegally at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Jamestown Boulevard.
Police said the tenants were able to end the party quickly. The tenants were identified as 20-year-olds Richard P. McCoy of 76 Rhode Island Ave., Cumberland, Katie L. Costa of 75 Toboggan Road, Cumberland, and Jaron L. Parent of 33 Minerva Ave., Cumberland.
