However, police said that when this light turned green, the Jeep went straight, and almost collided with head-on traffic as Woodruff Avenue went from two lanes to one past Flood Ford. A traffic stop was made near the Route 1 off-ramp.
Police said that during the stop, Nunes smelled of alcohol. He denied drinking, but police noted that there was a partially full bottle of Karkov vodka on the backseat.
According to police, Nunes consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He refused to take a chemical test at police headquarters, allegedly telling police, “I had two beers so I don’t know if I could pass.”
Police said that at about 7:10 p.m., a clerk from Westlakes Garage filled out a witness statement about the incident. He told police that the driver – Nunes – pulled the Jeep on to a curb, and appeared to be swaying and intoxicated when he bought cigarettes.
According to online records, Nunes has more than 10 arrests, dating back to 1991. In August 2011, he pleaded no contest to a Cumberland police charge of drunken driving, which triggered the second offense status for his Narragansett arrest.
Nunes has also pleaded no contest to several felony charges in the past. Nunes served 15 months at the ACI for felony assault in 2004, 18 months in 2000 for domestic assault and five months in 1998 for felony assault with a dangerous weapon.

As a result, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at this time. Following interviews with witnesses, police added on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct. Witnesses said that Price and his family member began fighting after Price shoved a woman at the home.
Because of past domestic offenses, the domestic charge was elevated from a misdemeanor to a felony. Price was transported to police headquarters, but couldn’t post $500 cash bail. He was then transferred to the ACI as a result.
According to online records, Price has been arrested more than 15 times dating back to 1992, with several resulting in pleas to domestic offenses.
