According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road from Seaport Communications clocked a red Kia with only parking lights on at about 75 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. Police noted that the Kia made no attempt to stop for about 1.5 miles, until the Route 1 on-ramp, despite an officer following with lights and sirens on.

Police noted that Lunn smelled of alcohol during the traffic stopped, but she denied drinking. She told police that she hadn’t noticed them attempting to pull her over, but police said that Lunn’s car was the only one on the road at the time.

According to police, after three requests Lunn could not find her registration, and police had to get it for her. Police asked her to submit to field sobriety tests.

Police said that after they asked her, Lunn told them that they “could not do anything unless I had her sign something.” Police said that Lunn argued with them and refused to give them an answer about whether she would take field sobriety tests.

As a result, Lunn was arrested, and an inventory of her car was done. Police said they found two bottles of red wine, one of which was empty, and a marijuana smoking pipe with trace amounts.

Police said that while processing Lunn, she plugged up her ears and began yelling, “I can’t hear you!” and “I’m not listening!”

According to police, when they told Lunn that she could make a confidential phone call, she instead yelled at police about past arrests and incidents with officers.

Police noted she then dropped her cell phone, breaking the battery in the process. She also then allegedly refused to use the department’s phone for a confidential call, and also refused to submit to a chemical test.

According to police, Lunn was laughing and making fun of the charges while being processed, and refused to cooperate. She was held for arraignment at Fourth Division District Court at 9 a.m.

Two Narragansett Residents Charged With Disorderly Conduct on Willow Avenue

Tobias M. Roberts, 29, of 56 West Bay Drive, Narragansett, and Christopher Ethan Allen, 24, of 30 Riverview Drive, Narragansett, were both arrested at about 1:35 a.m. on July 26 and charged with disorderly conduct.

According to police, they received a report of a fight at a Willow Avenue home. Police said when they arrived, the fight was over, but there were signs of blood spatter and broken glass in the kitchen.

Police said that Roberts blamed Allen for the fight, and Allen blamed Roberts for the fight.

A third person on scene told police that both were highly intoxicated. The person gave Allen permission to sleep in a bed at the home, because he was too drunk to drive home.

However, this allegedly upset Roberts, who then broke a glass bottle in the kitchen and started yelling. This awoke Allen, the witness said, and he came out in the living room, at which point the two began trading punches.

Based on the witness statement and evidence at the scene, Allen and Roberts were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Neither wished to press charges for assault, or to receive medical treatment. Both were processed at police headquarters and then released at about 3 a.m.
