Narragansett Police Log: October 10, 11 and 12, 2012
Four are cited for fighting at the Bon Vue Inn, allegedly over the New York Yankees.

Four Cited for Fighting at Bon Vue, Charlie O’s, New York Yankees Blamed
Steven D. Morotta and Nicholas Castellano, both 21 and of 63 Kingstown Road, Narragansett, and Anthony Bochichio and Jeffrey J. Olson, 22 and of an unknown address, were cited at about 12:40 a.m. on Oct. 12 and charged with fighting.Â

According to police, they received a report of four men fighting at the Bon Vue Inn. Police said that when they arrived, Bochichio had a bloody nose, and he and Olson blamed Morotta and Castellano – unknown to them at the time – for the fight.
Police said that at the time, Bochichio and Olson didn’t want to press charges, and all four men had left the Bon Vue. However, a short time later, police received a call from the two at Charlie O’s, and said the two men were at this bar as well.

At this point, police interview Morotta and Castellano, who blamed Bochichio and Olson for the fight.
Based on the four conflicting accounts, police spoke with two bounces at the Bon Vue, who said that all four men had been fighting and caused the incident. As a result, all four were cited for fighting, a Narragansett Municipal Court violation.
Police noted that according to the participants, the fight started over the performance of the New York Yankees.
URI Student Arrested for Warrant
Kyle S. Riccio, 20, of 77 Hoffman Ave., Cranston, was arrested at about 2:23 a.m. on Oct. 11. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for Riccio’s arrest, and they also noted that he is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer driving on Point Judith Road near Sunset Farm clocked a black Toyota Camry at 62 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made near Sunset Road.
Police said that during the stop, three people didn’t have seatbelts on, and the car was overloaded, with six people in it. The driver was cited for the seatbelt violations and overloading a vehicle, and warned for speeding.
According to police, a background check of the passengers revealed that one – Riccio – had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing related to a domestic disorderly conduct charge. He was arrested without incident.
Police said Riccio was processed at headquarters and held overnight for arraignment the morning of Oct. 11.
