Narragansett Woman Arrested in Connecticut on Forgery Charge

According to Montville, CT Patch Local Editor Carrie Jacobson, a Narragansett woman was arrested on Sept. 22 after an investigation by Connecticut State Police.

Nicole E. Niles, 34, of 100 Beach Plum Road, Narragansett, was arrested on the morning of Sept. 22 and charged with submitting a forged document.

An investigation that began in July 2011 revealed that the accused submitted a forged document to the State of Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The accused turned herself in to detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad at Troop E based on an active warrant for the above charged.

Niles was processed and later released on a promise to appear on Oct. 6 in New London Superior Court.

URI Student Cited for Public Urination

Leaner J. Jaques, 21, of 68 Saltaire Ave., Narragansett, was cited at about 1:14 a.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with public urination.

According to police, an officer patrolling on Sand Hill Cove spotted Jaques peeing on a tree. When questioned by police, Jaques told them he had been urinating, and said he was walking home from Charlie O’s.

He was issued a citation and allowed to leave the scene.

URI Student Cited for Public Urination (A Different Guy)

Thomas Ebrahimi, 20, of 49 Saint James Road, Narragansett, was cited at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 22 and charged with public urination.

According to police, an officer patrolling on Knowlesway saw Ebrahimi urinating on a stone wall on the property line of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church.

Police said when they exited their car to talk to him, he ran away. Police later found him hiding behind an air conditioning unit on the grounds of the church, and said he appeared to be heavily intoxicated.

Ebrahimi was transported to his home because of his state of inebriation. He was cited for public urination.

Narragansett Man Arrested on Warrant

David John Ainsworth, 31, of 975 Point Judith Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 3:57 p.m. on Sept. 22. Police said there was a Fourth Division District Court warrant out for his arrest.

According to police, an officer patrolling Point Judith Road saw a silver Dodge Stratus driven by Ainsworth without a front license plate. As a result, a traffic stop was made.

A background check revealed a warrant for failing to appear at a Fourth Division District Court hearing on Aug. 28 for a possession of marijuana charge.

Ainsworth was arrested and transported to the ACI without incident. A passenger drove the car from the scene.

URI Student Cited for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor

Gavin A. Grigorian, 19, of 80 Bristol Road, Narragansett, was cited at about 8:58 p.m. and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.

According to police, an officer traveling behind a black Jeep driven by Grigorian noted that a rear light was out. A traffic stop was made on Burnside Avenue.

Police said that during the stop, a 30-pack of Keystone Light and a 30-pack of Bud Light could be seen behind the passenger seat. A passenger in Grigorian’s car was 21.

As a result, Grigorian was cited for transportation of alcohol by a minor. The beer was confiscated and disposed of.
