NFD Rescues 4 From Burning Building
According to Narragansett Fire Department Captain Dave Arnold, four people were rescued from a Boon Street home after a fire Monday morning.

Four people were rescued from the second floor of a Boon Street home early Monday morning, according to the Narragansett Fire Department.
Captain Dave Arnold said that at about 12:33 a.m., they received a report of a structure fire at 108 Boon Street, with four people trapped on the second floor of the building.
According to Arnold, three people were rescued from the front porch roof. The fourth person was rescued from a second floor window at the rear of the building, which the person was hanging from. The firefighters used ground ladders to get the people to safety.

One person was transported to South County Hospital for observation. Units from the Union Fire District in South Kingstown and the North Kingstown Fire Department also assisted. Arnold said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
According to online town property records, 108 and 108A Boon Street is owned by Deborah D. Rudman of Chestnut Hill, MA. She purchased the home in 1983 from the Frank family.

The home is described as historic, with wood shingles. Together, the value of the land – about 0.31 acres – and the building is about $800,000.
