Police found the woman in that area. She told them that Feldman had hit her in the face while she was on the phone with her mother, and then when he learned police were on the way, he left his apartment to hide his marijuana.

According to police, Feldman was not at the apartment when they went inside. They noted that there were “several pieces of marijuana” scattered around the kitchen. Police also noted that the victim smelled of alcohol.

Police said Feldman returned to the parking lot of the apartment building a short time later. He was arrested and charged with domestic simple assault. He told police that the victim was the aggressor, allegedly claiming “he was sleeping and she attacked him.”

According to online court records, Feldman was arrested on June 26 for an additional Narragansett police charge of violating a no-contact order. However, details of this arrest were unavailable. He is scheduled for a pre-trial conference for both charges on July 12.

Feldman has two prior misdemeanor Narragansett arrests, for driving with a suspended license in 2007. Both charges were dismissed in March 2007.

South Kingstown Man Charged with Larceny

Sean James Deciantis, 36, of 627 Middlebridge Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 4:16 p.m. on June 18 and charged with larceny under $500. Police also noted that a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest.

According to police, they received a call from a dentist office on Boston Neck Road. The caller said that a man was trying to cut the ground wires from telephone poles, but left on a mountain bike.

Police said that en route, they saw a man matching the description – Deciantis – on Boston Neck Road near Hillview Drive. Police said that as they followed Deciantis, he threw a ratchet wrench on the ground.

According to police, a background check revealed the warrant, and Deciantis also had a pair of brass wire clamps on his person.

According to online court records, Deciantis pleaded no contest on July 12. He was sentenced to a year of probation, and a year-long suspended sentence.

Deciantis has several arrests dating back to 1996, including pleas to felony charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and three counts of felony drug possession. The most recent warrant was issued because he did not appear at a court hearing related to a January 2010 South Kingstown police arrest for felony drug possession.

Pawtucket Man Charged with Driving With A Suspended License

James D. Dailey, 34, of 87 Liberty St., Pawtucket, was arrested at about 11:21 a.m. on June 20 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Middlebridge Road saw a blue Saturn SL driven by Dailey with an expired registration sticker. A traffic stop was made on Boston Neck Road near Old Boston Neck Road.

Police said a background check of Dailey revealed that his license was suspended. The plates on the car came back to a different car – Dailey told police he had taken plates off a car formerly driven by a deceased family member.

Dailey was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was also cited for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and improper use of license plates.

Police said he was processed and released at about 11:45 a.m. The car was towed from the scene.
