Police Log: Supplemental Gansett Reports June 22 to July 1, 2012

No information for two arrests is available, and police arrest a third man on a warrant.

These reports were procured via records requests. The arrests were not included in the originally printed media packet, either because of ongoing investigations, vacations for commanding officers or mistakenly by oversight.

Cranston Man Charged with Disorderly Conduct

Benjamin J. Viti, 27, of 29 Annual Drive, Cranston, was arrested at about 7:38 p.m. on July 1 and charged with disorderly conduct.

According to police, the arrest occurred at the Bonnet Shores Beach Club. A 20-year-old Warwick man and a 28-year-old Johnston man provided police with witness statements. However, police released no other information.

Narragansett Man Charged with Domestic Offenses

Nicholas R. Duckworth, 21, of 10 John St., Narragansett, was arrested at about 11:08 p.m. on July 1 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

According to police, the victim in the case is a 26-year-old Narragansett man, a family member of Duckworth. However, police released no other information.

Jamestown Man Arrested on Warrant

David C. Harpool, 23, of 149 Hamilton Ave., Jamestown, was arrested at about 7:15 p.m. on July 27. Police said a Second Division District Court warrant was out for Harpool’s arrest for failing to appear at a hearing on June 22 for a Jamestown police charge of driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer patrolling on Ocean Drive near Memorial Square saw three men leaning on a silver 2005 Toyota Tacoma. One of the men matched the description of .

Police said that a background check revealed that one of the men – Harpool – had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident.
