RI State Police: Driver Charged In January Double Fatal
The Jan. 27 crash on Route 4 in East Greenwich killed Emma Brown, 21, of Wakefield, and Lorenzo Smith, 33, of South Kingstown.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A South Kingstown woman turned herself into Troopers on Thursday night on a drunk driving arrest warrant. Precious G. Montey, 25, is being charged with Driving under the Influence, resulting in death, two counts. She was behind the wheel in a Jeep Liberty headed north on Route 4 when she lost control and hit a tree. The Jan. 27 crash happened at 3:05 a.m. near the I-95 split in East Greenwich and killed two of her passengers, Emma Brown, 21, of Wakefield, and Lorenzo Smith, 33, of South Kingstown.
Montey and another passenger, Chanon A. Johnson, 32, of Exeter, were injured. Both went by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police allege her blood-alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit. She is being arraigned in district court on Friday.
