Ladder to the Moon Discussion: Today from 4-6 p.m., author Georges Budagu Makoko will hold a lecture and discussion on Genocide, originating from his book, Ladder to the Moon: A Journey from the Congo to America. Makoko, a native of Central Africa, will share experiences with genocide and continued violence in his homeland. This free event will be held in Room 101 of Hardge Forum in URI's Multicultural Center (74 Lower College Rd., Kingston). Click here for more information.

Community Flu Clinic: This morning from 9-11 a.m., South County Hospital will host a flu vaccination clinic at Brightview Commons, located at 57 Grandeville Court in Wakefield. Vaccinations will be available to individuals age 19 and older. Those with health insurance must bring proof of coverage. Click here for insurance and payment information.
SK EDC Meeting: The South Kingstown Economic Development Committee will meet at 6 p.m. this evening in Council Chambers at SK Town Hall (180 High St., Wakefield). Click here to view tonight's agenda.

Twenty40 Young Professionals Event: Tonight from 5:30-7:30 p.m., the Southern Rhode Island and North Kingstown chambers of commerce will host a Twenty40 Multi-Chamber Young Professionals Networking Event at Phil's Main Street Grille (323 Main St., Wakefield). $5 fee per person, cash bar.
