SK 'Letters to Santa' Deadline Today (and 4 More Things)

    SK Letters to Santa Deadline: A special North Pole postal delivery has been established in South Kingstown so youngsters can write a letter to Santa this Christmas, but today, Dec. 13, is the last day to send them his way! Letters should be dropped in the special mailbox set up at the Neighborhood Guild at 325 Columbia Street in Peace Dale.

    Men's Over-35 Drop in B-Ball: Looking to have some fun and let loose some stress? Join your peers for recreational fun and good basketball supervised by Glenn Miller, tonight and each Friday through Mar. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Peace Dale Elementary School (109 Kersey Rd, Peace Dale)  All ability levels are welcome and everyone plays.Note: Program does not meet when school is not in session. $2 per session. Click here for more Town activities and programs.

    Visit with Santa: From 5:30-7:30 p.m. today, Dec. 13, the South Kingstown Neighborhood Guild (325 Columbia St., Wakefield) will host Santa Claus himself who will be stopping by to visit with the children of South Kingstown and their families. Space is limited and registration is required by calling 780-9301 or stopping at the Guild during business hours. $5 fee per family for a 5-minute session. Don't forget your camera!

    Winter Emergency Notifications: With winter fast approaching, Narragansett and South Kingstown officials are urging residents to sign up to be notified of emergencies and other important news using each town's community notification system. This enables the Town to provide essential information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, fires, floods, unexpected road closures, or evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods. Narragansett residents click here and South Kingstown residents click here for step-by-step instructions on how to sign up.
