SK Police Log: January 21 and 22, 2013

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Husband and Wife Arrested for Warrants

John Ingram, 38, of 364 Curtis Corner Road, Apt. #B14, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 9:19 p.m. on Jan. 22. His wife, Karen O’Brien Ingram, 43, of 160 Superior St., Providence, was arrested at about 1:57 a.m. on Jan. 23.

According to police, they were initially called to a home on Curtis Corner Road because of a DCYF investigation. Police said that during the investigation, they made contact with both Ingrams.

Police said that a later check on the couple revealed warrants out for their arrest, for Providence police felony charges of receiving stolen goods based on an incident on Oct. 8. Police said they went to the home of John Ingram and arrested him without incident, but his wife was not home at the time.

According to police, Karen Ingram turned herself into headquarters at 1:57 a.m. on Jan. 23. Providence police arrived later that day to pick-up both Ingrams.

Based on online records, John Ingram was transferred to the ACI on Jan. 23 after he couldn’t post bail. Records for Karen Ingram were unavailable.

South Kingstown Man Charged With Trespassing

Lorenzo M. Smith, 28, of South Kingstown, was arrested at about 10:28 a.m. on Jan. 22 and charged with trespassing. Police said Smith does not have a permanent address.

According to police, they received a report of Smith hanging out at a home on School Lane. Police said they confirmed that a no-trespass order was issued to Smith in November for the home and that it was still in effect until August 2016.

Police said Smith was arrested without incident. He was transferred to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment at about 1:30 p.m.
