A Boston woman allegedly asks police to make her drunken driving arrest "go away."

Alleged Drunken Driver to Police: “Yeah I’m drunk” and “Make it go away.”
Erin Jones, 31, of 632 East Broadway, Boston, MA, was arrested at about 8:57 p.m. on July 27 and charged with drunken driving.

According to police, they received a report of a traffic accident near the tower. Police said when they arrived, it appeared that Jones had hit another car with her car.
Police noted that Jones smelled strongly of alcohol, but she denied having anything to drink. She allegedly told police, “Don’t do this to me. I had a OUI six months ago.”

An OUI is a Massachusetts offense – operating under the influence of alcohol of drugs.
Police said that while talking to Jones to determine her competency, she told them, “Look I had an OUI six months ago. Yeah I’m drunk. Don’t do this to me. Just make it go away. I can’t lose my license for six months. I just got it back yesterday.”
According to police, an inventory of Jones’ car revealed a bottle of Smirnoff vodka, and two water bottles filled with a clear substance that field tested positive for alcohol.
Police said that Jones consented to a breath test at headquarters as opposed to a field sobriety test. According to police, her blood alcohol content was .317 at about 10:43 p.m. and .328 at about 10:46 p.m.
When informed of her blood alcohol content, Jones allegedly told police, “I can’t be .317, I was drinking in my car.”
Police noted that while she was being processed, she remarked about how big an officer was, and tried to shoulder block and clothesline him, claiming that she could move anyone. Police also noted that Jones refused to sign any document related to the arrest.
Charlestown Man Charged With Drunken Driving – Second Offense
Sammy L. Dearborn, 44, of 4772 Old Post Road, Charlestown, was arrested at about 8:29 p.m. on July 27 and charged with drunken driving, with the modifier of second offense within five years.
According to police, a caller told a dispatcher that they saw a man in a blue Jeep drinking from a beer bottle. Police said they found a Jeep matching the description near Broad Rock Road, and a traffic stop was made on St. Dominic Road.
Police noted that there were two open beer bottles in Dearborn’s Jeep. Police said that Dearborn consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed.
According to police, Dearborn also consented to chemical breath tests at police headquarters, and tested at about .202 at 8:21 p.m. and .204 at about 8:19 p.m. He was processed and released to the custody of a family member at about 9:42 p.m.
According to online court records, Dearborn pleaded no contest to a Charlestown police charge of drunken driving in April 2008. He was ordered to pay a fine and court costs, to surrender his license for three months, and to complete DWI school and 10 hours of community service.
Vermont Man Charged With Drunken Driving
James Morrison Perkins, 67, of 12 Catherine St., Rutland, VT, was arrested at about 2:07 a.m. on July 27 and charged with drunken driving.
According to police, at about 1:27 a.m. they received a report of a minor accident in the parking lot of Casey’s on Old Tower Hill Road. Police said that Perkins hit a parked car while backing up with his Porsche.
Police noted that while speaking with Perkins, he seemed disoriented and unsteady. When asked if he had had anything to drink, he allegedly told police, “Way too much.”
Police said Perkins consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. According to police, breath tests at 2:41 a.m. and 2:57 a.m. revealed blood alcohol levels of .182 and .173.
Perkins told police that he had gone from the Coast Guard House to the Mews to Twin Willows to Casey’s that night, and that it wasn’t the beer that got him drunk, but “jager bombs” that people at Casey’s bought for him.
He was released at about 4:28 a.m.
