West Kingston Woman Charged With DWI
Christine A. Gould, 44, of 3778 South County Trail, West Kingston, was arrested at about 11:54 p.m. on June 29 and charged with driving while intoxicated.
According to South Kingstown police, they arrived on scene at the Village at Worden’s Pond to meet with Charlestown police, who had stopped Gould’s car. Charlestown police said that Gould had been in a motor vehicle accident in their town, with the witness identifying her car.
South Kingstown police said that Gould was heavily intoxicated, and kept speaking about problems between her neighbors and family members. Police said she was too intoxicated to even attempt field sobriety tests, and she was arrested without incident.

Police said Gould fell asleep during the drive to the station. Police said she made a phone call at headquarters, and then was asked to submit to a chemical test. She allegedly told police, “Oh, I know I’ll fail that,” and refused to take a chemical test.
Police said that Charlestown officers picked Gould up for booking in their town at about 2:50 a.m. At about 5:39 a.m., South Kingstown police were faxed a witness report from a Charlestown officer.
The officer said that he drove into South Kingstown in an attempt to find Gould’s car. The officer said he found the car at the intersection of Worden’s Pond Road and Leisure Drive.
