SK Police Log: October 16, 2012
A South Kingstown man is arrested for a Superior Court warrant for a felony domestic assault charge.

South Kingstown Man Arrested for Superior Court Warrant
Ryan J. Marshall, 24, of 575 Saugatucket Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 16. Police said a Superior Court bench warrant was out for Marshall’s arrest.

According to police, they were aware of the warrant and went to Marshall’s home, where he was arrested without incident. He was transported to Washington County Superior Court for arraignment at about 1:15 p.m.
According to online records, Marshall is due in Washington County Superior Court on Nov. 5 and Nov. 14 for pre-trial conferences for a South Kingstown police charge of felony domestic assault. The charge was elevated from misdemeanor domestic assault because it is allegedly Marshall’s third offense.

Exeter Teen Cited for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor
Natalie B. Cotta, 19, of 15 Sheffield Hill Road, Exeter, was cited at about 5:27 p.m. on Oct. 16 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.
According to police, an officer noted a green Jeep driven by Cotta swerving on Kingstown Road. A traffic stop was made after on Kersey Road.
Police said a 12-pack of Otter Creek Ale and a 6-pack of Woodchuck Hard Cider were visible during the stop, and both were confiscated, along with an ID Cotta used to purchase the alcohol. She was cited and allowed to drive from the scene.
