SK Police Log: October 17, 2012

Police arrest three in separate incidents involving domestic assault, marijuana and a court warrant.

South Kingstown Woman Charged With Domestic Assault, Domestic Disorderly Conduct

Joann L. Brown, 41, of 392 Rose Hill Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:33 p.m. on Oct. 17 and charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

According to police, they received a report of a disturbance at Brown’s home. Police said the victim, a 25-year-old woman and family member of Brown, got into a verbal argument with Brown, which culminated in Brown shoving her, and then throwing coffee and a porcelain coffee mug.

Police said Brown didn’t deny the events as described by the victim, and she was arrested without incident. She was processed at police headquarters and then transferred to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment.

South Kingstown Man Charged With Possession of Marijuana

Raul Gonzalez, 23, of 75 Meadowbrook Way, Apt. #7, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 10 a.m. on Oct. 17 and charged with possession of marijuana.

According to police, they responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mooresfield Road just east of Kingstown Road. Police said that a driver of a minivan – Gonzalez – told them he had smoked a marijuana blunt after dropping his kids off at South County Community Action.

Police said Gonzalez consented to a search of the van, which was done with a Narragansett police K-9 unit. A marijuana roach was found, and Gonzalez was arrested and charged with possession as a result.

South Kingstown Man Arrested For Warrant

Larry Camron Robinson, 35, of 364 Curtis Corner Road, Apt. #B15, South Kingstown, at about 11:03 a.m. on Oct. 17. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest.

According to police, an officer familiar with Robinson from past arrests saw him standing in front of a home on High Street. A check with a dispatcher revealed the warrant, and he was arrested without incident.

Police said Robinson was transported to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment at about 11:45 a.m.
