UPDATE: 1 Meadowbrook Way Burglary Suspect In Custody, Police Continue to Seek Second Man

Suspect Jevon Scholl turned himself in Thursday. Dwayne Hazard is still wanted by police for the Jan. 13 burglary.

Update - Jan. 23: According to South Kingstown Police, Jevon Scholl turned himself in to Rhode Island State Police on Thursday, Jan. 23. Police are still actively searching for Dwayne Hazard.

Jan. 22: South Kingstown police have issued arrest warrants for two men wanted for a recent burglary.

Dwayne Hazard of 52 Franklin Ave., Westerly, and Jevon "Chucky" Scholl of 881 Atwells Ave., Providence, are accused of breaking into an apartment at 20 Meadowbrook Way around 10 p.m. on Jan. 13.

Police say after investigating noises downstairs, a tenant discovered the men trying to steal a television and a video game console from her living room.

According to a police report, the suspects fled through a back door with the electronics with the tenant chasing them. The tenant sustained minor injuries when she jumped on Scholl's back, but he managed to escape.

Hazard and Scholl each face a burglary charge, and Scholl will be charged with simple assault as well.

South Kingstown Police request that anyone with information about Hazard and Scholl contact them at (401) 783-3321. They say Scholl has a history of violence and weapons charges, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
