SK Teen Cited After Suspicious Goods Found

Police suspect something might be up when they note an Audi without a rear license plate, and the driver and a passenger dressed in all black. South Kingstown police logs from April 1, 2013.

South Kingstown Teen Charged With License, Alcohol Violations; Black Gloves, Electronics Found in Car

Patrick H. Celico, 18, of 155 Old North Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 2:02 a.m. and charged with driving without a license and cited for transportation of alcohol by a minor.

According to police, they received a report of a person going through a car on Arbor Way. Police said that while responding to this report, they noted a green Audi on Oakwoods Drive without a rear license plate.

Police said that they made a traffic stop on Oakwoods Drive. Police said that the driver – Celico – and a passenger were dressed all in black, had wet clothing and three flashlights.

According to police, Celico told them he did not have a license, and that the car had a temporary plate. Police noted that the temporary plate had expired as of Jan. 18.

Police said an inventory of the car revealed two headrest TV screens, two GPS devices, an additional box of tools, two pairs of black gloves, a plastic bag full of change, three empty beer cans and two bottles of wine.

According to police, the electronics had not been reported stolen, but were held in case a report was filed. Police said Celico was arrested, processed and then released at about 4:15 a.m.

URI Student Charged With License Violation, Arrested for Warrant

Edwin A. Cooley, 23, of 30 Swan St., East Providence, was arrested at about 12:53 a.m. on April 1 and charged with driving with a suspended license. A Sixth Division District Court warrant was also out for Cooley’s arrest, police said.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Kingstown Road near the West Kingston Mobil clocked a car at 51 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made in the 3400-section.

Police said a background check revealed that the driver – Cooley – had a suspended license and a warrant out for his arrest. Police said Cooley was processed, and then picked up by Providence police at 2 a.m.
