South Kingstown Man Accused Of Sharing Child Pornography Online

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A South Kingstown man is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography. William Schock, 27, was indicted by a federal grand jury, the Rhode Island U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Shock was charged with two counts of distribution and one count of possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, Schock used an online social media app to share sexually explicit pictures of prepubescent girls and both downloaded and stored sexually explicit videos depicting children.

Shock's IP address was brought to the attention of Homeland Security Investigations agents in Providence in May 2020, by HSI agents in Ottawa, Canada. The agents determined that the IP address came from Shock's South Kingstown home, and had been used twice to upload child pornography.

Agents searched Shock's home in August 2020, along with the Rhode Island State Police and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Several sexually explicit videos depicting children were found on Schock's cell phone.
