The five teams playing in the Narragansett Parks and Recreation adult flag football league have wittled down to two, as the championship will take place 11 a.m. tomorrow at .
Tom Tessitore, the program coordinator for Narragansett Parks and Recreation, said the level of play for the league is high. One championship squad is made up of former South Kingstown High School football players, while the other features semi-pro players.

Tessitore said the turnout and reaction have been great this year, and he expects that the league will expand next year.
Boys' Middle School Basketball Plays in Holiday Tournament Finals

Also from Tessitore, he said his middle school cagers are in the finals of a holiday basketball tournament in Newport. The finals are at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Middle School, on 39 Broadway.

DeBlois, Wolverines Keep Winning in D-I Hockey
Derek DeBlois, a Narragansett native that went to the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, has logged three assists for the Division I Michigan Wolverines' ice hockey squad as a freshman.
DeBlois has played in six of the Wolverines' 15 games. He last played on Nov. 12 in a 3-1 loss to Notre Dame. Michigan is 8-3-4 so far this year, and take on No. 15 Minnesota in Minneapolis tomorrow at 5:35 p.m.
DeBlois scored his first collegiate point on an assist when the Wolverines played at Bowling Green on Oct. 9. He added two more assists in a 6-1 win Oct. 23 vs. Nebraska-Omaha.
Connery, Curry Struggle Against MIT
Narragansett native and Curry basketball junior Michael Connery struggled in Division III play against No. 15 MIT Tuesday. The Engineers easily turned away Curry 90-63.
Connery had his worst game of the young season for Curry (1-3). He finished one-for-seven from the field, including three missed shots from the arc. Connery did stroke a perfect three-for-three from the line, and chipped in two rebounds and an assist in 28 minutes.
The Colonels will attempt to get back in the win column Tuesday as they travel to Milton, MA to play Worcester Polytechnic Institute at 7 p.m.
