This Weekend: Family Fun Day, Stargazing and Live Entertainment
Here are just a handful of ideas to kickstart your weekend planning.

Summer Concert at the Gazebo: There's still enough summer left for a couple more outdoor concerts, right?? Head down to Narragansett Beach’s Gazebo Park (25 Ocean Rd.) on Friday night for a free evening of music in the gazebo with "Low B" who will entertain the crowd with funk, hip hop and rock selections! This free event at Casino Park starts at 6 p.m.
Family Fun Day: On Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., four renowned storytellers will “share” the South Kingstown High School athletic field with face painters, macaroni necklace makers, musicians, and children’s safety experts from across the state, at a free Family Fun Day sponsored by the Washington County Coalition for Children and South Kingstown School Department. Click here for all the details!
Comedy at the Contemporary: At 7 p.m. on Saturday, The Contemporary Theater (327 Main St., Wakefield) will host a performance of "Bob" by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, which tells the story of Bob, the quintessential American man who was born in a White Castle and destined for great things. "This heart-warming play is both hilarious and deeply moving as Bob's life unfolds onstage." Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased by clicking here to visit the Theater's website.
Tunes at Trio: On Sunday, Aug. 25 from 4-7 p.m., enjoy live music from local 2-piece band, Steve Deconti on the patio at Trio (15 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett). No cover.Â
