Town Of Narragansett: Construction Notice!

Beginning next week, weather permitting, construction of a drainage system will begin at the intersection of Crosswynds Drive & Wyndcliff Drive. The work will be performed by George Sherman Sand & Gravel from Wakefield, a long-time and trusted contractor for Narragansett, working under the direction of the Department of Public Works.

The project consists of installation of approximately 1,100' of sub-drain and 14 6" sump pump laterals, as well as pavement and trenching, etc. The sub-drain will give the most affected homes an option to tie-into the new drainage system and alleviate the over-the-road safety issues that have plagued this particular area. There is no demand for the homeowner to tie-in, however if they do choose to do so, it will be at the homeowner's cost.

Letters have been sent to the specific homeowners with connection ability and notices of construction have been placed at other homes in the neighborhood. If you have any questions, please email them to Erin Haggarty, DPW Clerk at ehaggarty@narragansettri.gov
