Town Of Narragansett: Hydrant Flushing - Point Judith System

The Town of Narragansett Water Division will be flushing fire hydrants located on the Point Judith Water System beginning approximately October 27, 2021 through November 5, 2021 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Our customers may experience discolored water and lower than normal water pressure.  If you experience dirty water while the flushing process is taking place turn off your water immediately, wait a short time to allow us to finish flushing your neighborhood, then run your cold-water faucet until the water clears.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause

This is a semi-annual procedure to remove organic material and sediment that accumulates in the water main and to check the operation of fire hydrants.  Any questions may be referred to the Narragansett Water Division at 782-0639.
