Town Of South Kingstown: Rose Hill Regional Transfer Station Weight Scale Replacement

After almost 40 years of service, the large platform scale at the RHRTS must now be replaced in its entirety including the subgrade structural steel members.

This work is expected to take approximately two (2) weeks and is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 and be completed on Friday, January 7, 2022. However, these dates are subject to change based upon weather and any unforeseen issues that may arise during construction.

During this outage period, commercial users will also be using the smaller platform scale used primarily by residents, whereby delays can be expected.

As such, residential users are encouraged to minimize bulky waste loads during this time period, which require platform scale weigh in and weigh out.
