Town Of South Kingstown: SEEKING APPLICANTS To Serve On STEERING COMMITTEE For Planning Of 300TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

On August 11th, 2021 the South Kingstown Town Council authorized the establishment of a Steering Committee for the planning and implementation of a year-long, 300th Anniversary celebration to recognize the Incorporation in 1723 of the Town of South Kingstown.

The Steering Committee will meet on a quarterly basis starting in the Fall 2021 through late Fall 2023 to guide the planning and implementation of multiple programs and events to celebrate the rich history and achievements of South Kingstown, and demonstrate what makes South Kingstown so special. It is intended that smaller working groups assigned to specific tasks will meet as needed and will report back to the Steering Committee at the quarterly meetings.
Residents and South Kingstown-based organizations who are interested in serving on the Steering Committee are asked to submit an application online no later than Friday, September 10th. For more information, please contact the Town Manager’s Office at 789-9331 x 1201.
