TRACK: Boys’ Team Wins Relay, Girls Lead By Throwers
The boys' indoor track team wins the 4x400 relay, and the girls' team has a pair of throwers place.

The Narragansett boys’ indoor track team scored 38 points, good for fourth place at the Class C championships in Providence on Saturday.
Earning points for the Mariners (top six placement) were:
- Junior Sonny Brunette finished in a tie for second in the high jump, clearing 5’10”.
- Senior Steve Smith placed sixth in the 300 with a time of 1:26.50.
- Narragansett placed first in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:47.30. Running for the Mariners were Brunette, freshman Christian Humulock, senior Deveron Gordon and senior Aaron Libman.
- Narragansett placed second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:38.50. Running for the Mariners were Brunette, Humulock, Gordon and Libman.
- Narragansett placed third in the 4x800 relay with a time of 9:28.80. Running for the Mariners were freshman Austin Butler, sophomore Daniel Keane, freshman Ryan Tudino and junior Zachary Zuchowski.
Teams competing, in order of finish, were Classical (185), East Greenwich (86), Prout (39), Narragansett (38), Central Falls (37), Moses Brown (14), Mount St. Charles (13), St. Raphael (8), Rogers (3), Smithfield (2) and Providence Country Day (2).

Girls Score 12 Points
At its class meet for small schools, the girls’ indoor track team scored 12 points, good for 10th of 12 teams.

Earning points for the Mariners (top six) were:
- Sophomore Leia Mistowski finished third in the weight toss with a throw of 40’10.25”.
- Freshman Ashley Kennedy finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 28’9.25”.
- Narragansett placed fifth in the 4x200 relay with a time of 2:03.40. Runners for the Mariners were unavailable.
Teams competing, in order of finish, were Mount St. Charles (84), East Greenwich (82), Smithfield (73), Prout (55), Ponaganset (31), Moses Brown (26), Rogers (20), Central Falls (19), Shea (14), Narragansett (12), St. Raphael’s (10) and Wheeler (6).
