Two Saunderstown Kids in Seussical, Jr.

Lydia Rumowicz, 14, and Erica Lambert, 12, have roles in the performances Friday and Saturday in Cranston.

About 50 youth performers from ages 7 to 15, including two from Saunderstown, will be performing in Rhode Island Youth Theatre's production of Seussical, Jr. this weekend.

Performances are 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, 2115 Broad Street in Cranston, next to Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Tix are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. More info is available at www.RIYT.org.

The performers spent several days this vacation practicing about five hours each day. The leading role – the Cat in the Hat – is being played by Lauren Keenan of East Greenwich.
