Your Guide: Johnny Cake Festival at Kenyon's Grist Mill
Everything you need to know to enjoy a specific local weekend event!
This Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20, Kenyon's Grist Mill (21 Glen Rock Rd., West Kingston), will host its annual Johnny Cake Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Support the local economy and celebrate the harvest and with more than 125 local vendors, including farms, artisans and restaurants in the quaint Rhode Island village of Usquepaugh!
Guests will enjoy free samples of seasonal fare, beverages, and Johnny Cakes, along with live music, animals and crafts. The heritage-rich event will also offer a farmers’ market, mill tours, historian presentations about RI's past, a colonial encampment and old-world demonstrations along the scenic Queen’s River and waterfall.
During the festival weekend, parking at or around the mill is strictly prohibited. Ample free parking is available at Washington County Fairgrounds (just minutes from the mill) with free shuttle buses continuously running throughout the event.

Admission is $3 per person. Food and clothing donations to benefit the Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale are also appreciated.
