Youth Track Series Starts Tonight
The eighth annual Summer Youth Track Series starts tonight at Narragansett High School.
Bring the kids and their running spirit to Narragansett High School at 5:30 p.m., as the eighth annual Summer Youth Track Series starts up.
The events runs until about 8 p.m. Can’t make it this week? The program continues on July 16, July 23, July 30 and Aug. 6. The event is put on primarily by the Narragansett Running Association, with sponsorships from local businesses.
Participants will compete in casual but timed races, and there will be a DJ, ribbons and refreshments – watermelon, water and lemonade. Registration is at 5:30 p.m., with races starting at 6 p.m. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate.

Last year, the first meet had about 600 kids at it, and over the course of the summer several thousand kids ran. A similar event in Exeter based on the Narragansett series also attracts quite a crowd.
