Drug Task Force Collars 3 Controlled Substance Conspirators: Cops

The state police High Intensity Drug Trafficking task force arrested a Scituate man and a man and woman from Massachusetts, police said.

NEW SHOREHAM — A Scituate man and a man and woman from Massachusetts were arrested on charges of controlled substance conspiracy, police said.

Wyatt Laprade, 28, of Scituate, and Evan Borge, 30, and Morgan Deplitch, 27, both of Somerset, Massachusetts, were arrested Monday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

All three were taken into custody by the state police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, according to the release.

In addition to controlled substance conspiracy, Laprade and Borge were charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine to an undercover police officer and possession with intent to deliver cocaine, the release said, and Deplitch was also charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine to an undercover police officer.

Laprade, Borge and Deplitch were "transported to the New Shoreham Police Department and the Wickford Barracks" where they were arraigned, the release said, then "turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Center."
