1 Dead, 3 Hospitalized in Alcohol-Related Crash
One person died and three others were injured after a crash on South County Trail Thursday night involving speed and at least one juvenile.

EXETER, RI—One person has died and three others were hurt after a crash on South County Trail Thursday, according to the state police.
Speed and alcohol was a factor in the crash, police said, and the victims range in age from 17 to 21.
Three men and a woman were in a car on Route 2 when the car lost control near Yawgoo Valley Road and struck a pole.

One victim was unresponsive at the scene and the other three were transported to Rhode Island Hospital suffering from a range of injuries.
State Police Lt. Stephen Flood told the Providence Journal that one of the victims sent to the hospital was ejected from the vehicle, which rolled over and ended up on a resident’s yard.

The crash also knocked down power lines and the area was closed to traffic.
Exeter responders were aided by crews from the West Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown and Kingston Fire Departments.
The victims have not been identified.
