Warwick Man Kills North Kingstown Woman On Tricycle In Drunken Crash: Police

Police say a North Kingstown woman was riding a tricycle when she was hit from behind by a Jeep driven by Daniel Famiglietti​, 59.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Warwick man was arrested after North Kingstown police said he killed a woman riding a tricycle in a drunken crash on Thursday evening.

Police said the crash happened around 6:57 p.m. on Boston Neck Road at the intersection of Earle Drive. According to police, a 53-year-old North Kingstown woman was riding a tricycle in the breakdown lane when she was hit from behind by a Jeep driven by Daniel Famiglietti, 59.

The woman was rushed to Kent County Hospital in Warwick, where she was pronounced dead. Police identified the victim as Linda Sherman.

Famiglietti was charged with driving under the influence, resulting in death. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Third District Court.
