Five Things: LAX For Boston, Horse Play Open House, Evensong

Lacrosse for Boston: U13 Lacrosse Rivals North Kingstown and South Kingstown Teams will unite to play a game this morning from 10 a.m. to noon at Wilson Park to raise money for a local family greatly affected by the Boston Marathon tragedy. The North Kingstown boys team came up with the idea to play with their rivals in order to assist the affected family. There will be food, beverages and raffle tickets on sale too. All are welcome!
Horse Play Open House: Horse Play Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is having its annual Open House today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the farm at 143 Gilbert Stuart Rd., Saunderstown. There will be pony rides, tack sales, raffle prizes, silent auctions, food, drink, meet-n-greet the horses, live music, vendors (jewelry, herbal products, henna artist, horsey stuff, crafts, and more), and lots of demonstrations.

NK Skippers Wrestling Fundraiser @ Junction: You are invited to Junction Trattoria Pizza & Bistro this afternoon between noon and 4:30 p.m. in support of the NK Skippers Wrestling team. Every customer receives a $5 coupon towards a future visit. All cash tips and 10 percent of total food sales, including take-out, will be donated to the team.
Pentecost Evensong: The Choirs of St. Paul's, Wickford, will perform the works of Purcell and Tallis this evening at 5 p.m. in the Old Narragansett Church. Reception to follow. Free.
