Lemonade For NK Families WEDNESDAY: The kids from the Think Tank program are holding a Lemonade Stand at Davisville Middle School on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. to raise money for their Basic Needs collection project. They are also collecting shampoo, deodorant, diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste/brushes, etc., at the Frenchtown Rd. Stop & Shop. Help the THINK TANK kids Help Others. All items will be donated to the NK Food Pantry. (*Think Tank is supported by NK Recreation & the NKSD Office of Family Learning.)Author Visit WEDNESDAY: Mitra K. Shavarini will discuss her latest book, Desert Roots, Journey of an Iranian Immigrant Family, at NK Free Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. This deeply personal narrative chronicles her parents’ remarkable journey to America as self-imposed exiles and then back again to Iran thirty-three years later. Mitra holds a doctorate from Harvard and is a lecturer at Brandeis University. Her work has appeared in numerous professional journals.
