NK Council Could Pick New Town Manager Tonight

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—The Town Council is conducting its final interviews of candidates and could pick a new town manager as early as Tuesday night.

The council is scheduled to meet in executive session at 5:30 p.m. and could come out of the meeting with the name of their final pick.

The town has not formally named any of the finalists, but several names have circulated on social media, including former Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and North Kingstown School Committee member Sheila McGauvran.

North Kingstown Police Chief Thomas Mulligan has been leading the town as acting Town Manager since the departure of Michael Embury last year, who left Rhode Island for a job in Brewster, Mass.
