NK's Memorial Day Parade In Photos
The festivities got the best weather day of the weekend and turnout was strong.
It was as if the weather gods understood that Memorial Day had to be nice, that the men and women who died serving our country deserved nothing less. So, after an unseasonably cold Saturday and Sunday, Monday dawned bright and sunny and by parade time was even comfortably warm.Â
The parade included bands from both Davisville and Wickford middle schools, Gov. Lincoln Chafee and state and town officials, and a number of veterans – including a precious few from World War II.Â
I'll be posting video from the parade later today. If you have photos or video from the parade you'd like to share, upload them here.Â
