North Kingstown Animal Shelter Under New Management
The animal shelter at 395 Hamilton Allenton Road was placed under the management of the North Kingstown Animal Shelter Support Foundation.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The municipal animal shelter in North Kingstown is no longer town run, according to police.
On Wednesday, the animal shelter at 395 Hamilton Allenton Road, was placed under the management of the North Kingstown Animal Shelter Support Foundation, a nonprofit and long-time partner of the town. The nonprofit has taken over the day-to-day operations of the animal shelter.
The North Kingstown Animal Shelter Support Foundation will be responsible for the care of the animals and the shelter, while North Kingstown Animal Control will operate out of the police station and handle all animal-related calls for service and enforcement actions.

For all animal-related calls requiring an immediate response call the North Kingstown
Police Department at 401-294-3311. Anyone with animal related questions regarding
enforcement, ordinances, lost animals, or wildlife complaints between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday may call the animal control line at 401-295-5579.
