Airman 1st Class Joshua A. Zalabowski, 22, of North Kingstown passed away December 24, 2015.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Peter J. and Lori-Ann (Cheli) Zalabowski of North Kingstown.
Josh graduated from North Kingstown High School in 2011. He was assigned to the NY Air National Guard 174th Attack Wing. He was selected and had been actively training to become a TACP member of the 274th Air Support Operation Squadron.

He was an avid motor cross rider, shooter, had a dedicated workout routine, and proudly touted himself as a member of the weightlifter’s “300 club”. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed repairing and improving dirt bikes and cars, both his own and for others.
Josh strived to make himself and everyone around him better. He wanted everyone around him to enjoy life to the fullest and live with no regrets.

In addition to his parents, he leaves two brothers, Peter J. Zalabowski, Jr. of AZ and Kyle Zalabowski of North Kingstown; his maternal grandmother, Marion Cheli of North Kingstown; his paternal grandfather, Richard Zalabowski of Johnston; his uncles and aunt, Richard (Patricia) Zalabowski of Iowa, Ann-Marie Jacolucci (Mark) of Coventry and Steve (Maryann) Cheli of Colchester, CT; cousins, Richard III, Raymond, and Ekaterina Zalabowski; Taryn and Alyssa Jacolucci, Rhiannon and Lauren Cheli. He was the grandson of the late Angela Zalabowski; and cousin of the late Rachel and Nicole Zalabowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
