Ocean State Job Lot Sends 20 Tons Of Supplies For Families Impacted By CA Wildfires

North Kingstown, RI — Rhode Island-based retail chain Ocean State Job Lot has partnered with its customers and the United Cajun Navy to transport essential supplies to California communities impacted by wildfires.

Last week, the North Kingstown-based company began its donation efforts which included providing more than 20 tons of water, clothing for adults and children, non-perishable food, cleaning and sanitization supplies, and pet food and supplies.

"The total devastation we are seeing from the wildfires in California is heartbreaking and hard to comprehend," David Sarlitto, the executive director, Ocean State Job Lot's nonprofit arm said. "Partnering with the United Cajun Navy, we were able to quickly mobilize our donation effort, and with the help of our generous and loyal customers, we will continue to provide additional necessities to help those who have lost so much."

All donated supplies are purchased at cost, in part through donations made by customers at each stores to the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation to support the relief efforts. Monetary donations are being accepted in-store and online here.
