The Providence Gridiron Club will host its Annual Super Bowl Night on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Quonset 'O' Club, 200 Lt. Brown Road, North Kingstown. Teams honored will be Bishop Hendricken and La Salle Academy from Division One; Moses Brown and North Kingstown from Division Two, and Juanita Sanchez/PCD/Wheeler and Burrillville from Division Three. Portsmouth and Cranston East, who will battle for the Division 1 Championship, are also included in the teams to be honored at the Providence Gridiron Club Banquet that night.
The meal will consist of salad, macaroni with meatballs and sausage, desert and coffee.
Tickets for family, friends and fans are $30 and you must reserve a seat ahead of time by contacting Club President, Bob Izzi at 378-4393 or at robert.izzi@aol.com.
Coaches of the six competing teams will only have to pay $20 and players from those teams only $10.
This is the third dinner the Club has hosted this year with a fourth one coming up in December, MVP Night honoring the offensive and defensive MVP's from each of the 42 football playing high schools in the state of Rhode Island. In April 2018 the Club will culminate its yearly program with its Annual Awards Night
But for right now it's Super Bowl Night to honor those teams which have made it to the Hallowed Circle. It should be a Great Night.
