North Smithfield Police Seize Marijuana, $36,000 In Cash

NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI β€”A local man faces felony charges after police searched his apartment and found two pounds of marijuana, 70 milliliters of marijuana oil, and more than $36,000 in cash.

Justin Murray, 25, is charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance after North Smithfield police on August 3 executed a search warrant at his home at 10 Railroad Street, Apartment 164W.

Murray was taken into custody and arraigned at 3rd District Court where he was ordered held as a bail violator on an unrelated possession charge, according to a news release from North Smithfield Police Capt. Stephen Riccitelli.

The arrest capped a joint investigation by North Smithfield and Cumberland police.
