Art Connection Rhode Island & RISCA Present: Connecting Lives With Art

Pawtucket, RI, May 20, 2024 – Art Connection Rhode Island (ACRI), a Pawtucket-based arts nonprofit, in collaboration with the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts (RISCA), presents a special exhibit, “Connecting Lives With Art,” on view at the Atrium Gallery at One Capitol Hill from May 2nd to July 11th.

“Our mission, ‘Connecting Lives With Art,’ is the theme and purpose of this exhibition,” said Program & Administrative Manager Adrienne Wooster. “The exhibition showcases original artwork donated by local artist donors. ACRI serves as a conduit between these artist donors and public service agencies, facilitating selections of artwork that will enhance their environments for the clients they serve.”

The opening reception is on Thursday, June 13, 5pm-7pm., in the Atrium Gallery, first floor of the state’s Administration Building, One Capitol Hill, Providence. There will be a “Meet The Organizations” event on Thursday, June 20, 12pm-1pm. Both events are free and open to the public.

Exhibited works include paintings, mixed media and collages, photographs, and artist prints. “Through exhibiting this beautiful art at the Atrium Gallery, we hope to further extend our reach to the nonprofit community and draw interest from nonprofits who have not selected work from us yet,” said Wooster. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with RISCA and have already invited a nonprofit to select art from the exhibit! Other nonprofits are welcome to reach out to us to schedule art selections at our office.”
