PAWTUCKET, RI — Mayor Donald Grebien has appointed 12 members to his new Mayor’s Community Board, an entity created via executive order to promote the values of inclusion, diversity, and equity.

The members are Joao Goncalves, the Rev. Nelson Estrada, Carlos Andres Guzman, George Ortiz, Eric Lopez, Dr. Kevin Martins, Wesley Moreon, Dijini Tavares, Jax-Adele Ventura, Tyler McFeeters, the Rev. Larry Smith, Romana Ramos, Oscar Mejia, Mario Bueno, and Charles Carvalho.

“The city thanks everyone who expressed interest in serving on this newly formed board. Amid the national climate, it is important that we work to create channels of communication to hear from everyone in our diverse community,” said Grebien in a release.

The Mayor’s Community Board will work closely with Constituent Liaison Kassandra Florez, who is in touch with various individuals and groups. It will act as a liaison between members of the community and the city, and will also recommend policies to advance the quality of life for all.
