BankNewport Gives $28K Grant To Portsmouth Hospice Organization

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth health care center received a $27,000 grant from BankNewport.

Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice in Portsmouth was awarded the grant. The organization was founded in 1950 to care for people of all ages in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, from mothers and newborns to seniors with chronic illnesses, and patients with terminal illnesses at end of life.

BankNewport’s grant will fund the organization’s maternal child health program to impact health and developmental outcomes for the youngest and most vulnerable citizens.
