Children's Room Back Open At Portsmouth Library

The area was closed due to serious flooding during Hurricane Ida in September.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — After closing for several months due to water damage, the children's room is back open at Portsmouth Library.

The room has been closed since September 2. It seriously flooded when the remnants of Hurricane Ida hit the state Sept. 2.

The children's room reopened to the public this week, with new toys, book and crafts.

"We are so happy to welcome you all back down to the Children’s Room this week, so be sure to stop in and see us!" library staff said on Facebook. "We can’t wait to see you!"
