Cranston Man Accused Of Sending Sexual Pictures To Portsmouth Teen
Portsmouth police say Nicholas Antoniou, 36, of Cranston, was also caught with child pornography.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Cranston man was arrested in Portsmouth last week after police said he sent sexual images and messages to a 14-year-old.
Nicholas Antoniou, 36, was charged with two counts of electronically disseminating indecent material to a minor and possession of child pornography.
Around 9:21 a.m. Thursday, Antoniou was taken into custody. Police said investigators learned Antoniou had been sending inappropriate pictures and messages to a 14-year-old in Portsmouth. During the investigation, detectives obtained evidence, including online communications between Antoniou and the teen victim. Police said child pornography was also discovered on Antoniou's electronic devices.

Antoniou was arraigned Thursday in Second Division District Court. Bail was set at $5,000. As conditions of his bail, Antoniou is prohibited from having contact with minors and from using the internet, smartphones, or computers.
