Flood Watch in Effect as More Rain Heads Our Way
Rain will arrive Thursday afternoon and will be heavy during the overnight hours.

Rhode Island is under a flood watch as rain is expected to hit the area Thursday afternoon and into Friday. The flood watch is in effect until 8 a.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service said an addition one to three inches of rain could fall on the area. Meteorologists are concerned that the already saturated soil and swollen rivers and streams could cause flooding.Â
Channel 7 meteorologist Jeremy Reiner said the rain should start between 1 and 4 p.m. Thursday. The rain will increase during the overnight hours.
